It is good to be in the Philippines

Thu, Jan 30, 2020

Hello my dear ones,

I really want to apologize about sending this email out so late. These last two weeks have been very crazy, as we were packing up, and are now at the Manila, Philippines MTC!!!! It has been so fun. It is very humid and warm. Do you remember the Harry Potter movies, and how they all ran into the wall to get to Platform 9 3/4? Yeah, we when we left the airport in Manila, I felt like I ran into the wall... However, I am stuck in this wall (of humidity). Outside of this, it has been a blast, and I love this so much. Right before leaving the Provo MTC, there was a devotional, where the speaker was Bro. Mills (The director of administration for all MTC's). He spoke of how so many people were changed through loving others. So, my advice to you is to serve. Forget yourself, and go to work. You will never have to worry about being happy. You will never worry about focusing on yourself. And your joy will be full. Today, I have been so out of it, so if none of this makes sense, I am sorry. However, I know that when you learn to help and love others, everything else seems to work out.

I Love you all with all of my heart,

Elder Morata

p.s. I am so sorry that I cannot respond to any of you today, I am sobrang busy.

(These pictures were texted to my mom by a very nice lady we met at the airport in the Philippines on our way to our area, She also served in the Pili/Naga Mission in 1985. Thank you!)

It is Good to say goodbye

Tue, Jan 14, 2020

Hi friends and family,

I want to apologize because I have not been able to write you all in awhile. But so much has happened, if it were not for pictures and journal entries, I would have forgotten all of it. The tagalog is coming along, little by little, I am starting to understand the basics. Outside of this, it has been hard to say goodbye to some of the coolest and amazingest(haha) people I have met here in the MTC, but I know that the lives they will bless outweighs the fun memories we have made here. It is kind of crazy to see all of these things play out, as we came here to the MTC to grow in every way you can think only to be spread the knowledge throughout all parts of the world and build on other's beliefs so that we may all be one. It is bittersweet, but I would never want to be anywhere else. I never seen such amazing people. Regardless of me praising all of these strangers that I have known for at least four weeks, I know this Gospel is true. I know it and I love it. I look forward to what is ahead, and I find it even harder to believe that this is only the beginning of this crazy awesome journey. To all of you, I love you and look forward to see how you will be stretched and how you will grow

Mahal ko kayo,
