Hello po sa lahat!
Love you guys! haha, you are awesome.
These last 7 days have been really nice. We officially met our new mission president! Pres. Metts is so humble and his wife is so kind and sweet. They taught a powerful lesson something that I never realized, and I now know why haha. They taught us that the way that Heavenly Father has done his work in the past, may not be the same way he does it now or in the future. Oh boy was he right, I never would have seen such a strong wave of missionaries and people sharing about Jesus Christ in such unique ways. I definitely was not prepared, haha, I have been able to call and talk to a lot of cool people. We have also been able to hangout with people around and help them out with whatever. Like the other day, we went to someone's house and we helped them sand their furniture for 5 hours! It was honestly a blast especially because they let us use electric sanders haah.
Elder Terry and I got a tiny bottle of tajin (delicioso!) from a member because they learned I liked it and so one day we put it in the middle of the kitchen floor and made a game that whoever knocked it over would lose. Since Elder Terry does not like spicy, IF he knocked it off, the next meal he would have to put cayenne pepper all over his meal, and IF I knock it over he gets to make me whatever his heart desires (with whatever ingredients he would like haha). The game is still going!
The people here are so kind. Just wow, they love people so much. It is super nice that they are always looking out for each other. The boonies have been really nice. Also, I learned that the word 'Boonies or boon dogs' originates from the word 'Bundok' in Tagalog!
There is this really cool verse in Ether 12:9"Wherefore, ye may also have hope, and be partakers of the gift, if ye will but have faith." It is so cool that hope is mentioned as a gift, Why do you guys think hope is a gift? To be honest, I never thought that there was a difference between faith and hope, but it is just a point to ponder.
MAHAL KO KAYO!!
Sinceramente,
Elder Morata! HakunaMorata!
p.s. Did you hear about all the peanut butter that got on the road??
... I heard it went with all the traffic jam!! hahahaha
